Dr. Yekini Ojenya Salawu is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Virtual World Institute in Indiana, USA, and a member of Global Ambassador of Sustainability (GAoS) - a Canadian-registered non-profit network and think tank driving localized solutions to environmental challenges. He is also Co-Founder and Vice President of Translog Innovation Academy, Nigeria. With over 25 years of active experience across academia and industry, Dr. Salawu is a versatile scholar and practitioner.
He holds a PhD in Transportation and Logistics from the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) and possesses comprehensive expertise in logistics and sustainable supply chain service delivery. His industry experience covers manufacturing, international business, customs brokerage, and trade logistics. Currently, he serves at one of Africa's leading security printing companies, Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc.
Recognized as a distinguished business leader and senior supply chain expert, Dr. Salawu is skilled in devising innovative solutions to complex business challenges. His educational background includes:
• BSc in Mathematics from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Nigeria
• Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics and Sustainable Supply Chain Management
• Master of Transport and Logistics from ABU
• MBA in Sustainable Supply Chain Management from MUST
Dr. Salawu has authored and co-authored numerous books and articles in high-impact journals, including Building Seaborne Trade Logistics: The Roles of Business Logistics in International Trade in Nigeria. He is known for his excellent relationship-building and critical thinking skills, which have earned him several accreditations and fellowships from prestigious institutions worldwide, such as:
