Dr. Yekini Ojenya Salawu is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Virtual World Institute in Indiana, USA and also a Co-Founder and Vice President, Translog Innovation Academy, Nigeria. He is a multi-task scholar with over two and a half decades of active industry and academic experience.
He holds a PhD in Transportation and Logistics from Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) and has experience in all facets of logistics and sustainable supply chain service delivery. His industry experience spans manufacturing, international business, customs brokerage, trade logistics, and presently works with a foremost African’s security printing company “The Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc.”
Dr. Salawu is a highly regarded business leader and senior supply chain expert. A very focused professional knowledgeable about devising innovative solutions to diverse business concerns and goals, and has a quest for learning with a foundation in numerical science with a BSc Mathematics from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Nigeria. Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Master of Transport and Logistics from ABU; MBA in Supply Chain Management from MUST.
Dr. Salawu has reviewed, authored, and co-authored books and articles in highly impact journals, among the books is “Building Seaborne Trade Logistics: The Roles of Business Logistics in International Trade in Nigeria”. He has excellent relationship-building and critical thinking skills with a determined and decisive nature, which earned him several accreditations and the highest membership (Fellow) of numerous institutions globally, including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, the African Centre for Supply Chain, the Institute of Management Consultants, Member of the Asian Logistics and Supply Chain Council, and many more. He has moderated and presented papers in international conferences and served as an external resource person to national and international institutions of repute. He is a Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist (CITLS) and Certified International Trade Manager (CITM) from the International Institute of Export and Import at Dunlap Stone University in Arizona, USA.
Interestingly, amongst his areas of research interest is smart cities development, which enables him to co-author several books internationally in the field and not relenting. As a Certified Management Consultant of the Institute of Management Consultants, Dr. Salawu’s drive to develop and impact in industries and societies are sine qua non in energizing Insights-Edge Consults & Logistics.
